Re: my buggy and tacoma
i only went out in the buggy once. the fuel cell that came with it started leaking my first trip out. I didn't have the extra money to put a new cell in it until two weeks ago. I never even took it out after i put the new fuel cell in itBIG BLING wrote:how many trips did you get to go in your buggy before you traded it? the new rig looks siack!!!

Re: my buggy and tacoma
got it painted up this weekend. Still need to finish the tube, but i need to let the cab dry a day or so. Amanda chose the colors. It is firemist metallic cobalt blue and the tubes are key lime. It turned out pretty good, couple runs were i didn't sand his runs down and it built up on them. the runs are under the side plates so its ok. I'm getting better i'd say this one is about a 8 ft paint job

I love that Amanda picks the colors for you - so far she hasn't let you down! It looks great and I can't wait to see it once the cage is painted up!

Re: my buggy and tacoma
the belly to the "dropped" belly is 26 and to the frame is 28. To the top of the exo it is 83 and the top of the cab is 81. if i switch to the 14/16 coils and remove the bodylift i should be able to get is down around 77-78 to the top of the exo. I think i will have to redo the lower links also, cause with shorter coilovers it looks like the links will hit the frame. The uppers are triangulated, but the lowerscdgvw1 wrote:Dam that thing is tall. What's the belly height?
only have slight angle to them. It is tall for sure i can't fit it in the garage, but it seemed stable both times i have wheeled it. The rear coilovers need limit straps because they are so long that when they are fully extended the coils don't have any pressure and they weren't seating right when it would compress back

Add helper coils. I have them on mine. They are coils that are 6" to 8" in length but you can push them together. There main reason is to keep tension on the coils when they are fully extended.

I was looking at tender coils on poly's site. Are those the same thing or are they called helper coils?

Yes, I had to add another bucket so that the tender coil sits correctly on the upper coil. Should do the trick.
