Well fathers day my Dad, Gramps, and my bro came over helped me strip her down and paint the frame and chassis. 12 cans later (bass boat sparkle black). And 2 cans of clear coat. I fabbed up the rear storage area with the shox through the mini bed.

195.00 shipped. He gave me a discount because it's an ftoy. He also hooked me up with his winch install kit. The panel is normally like 230.00. 12voltguy.com

Re: Briz Family Formula toy Build!!!!!
Pete and I worked on wiring all day saturday with very bad results. We ended up with smoke coming out of the computer. We spent an hour or so trying to trouble shoot with no success. Hopefully the puter isn't fryed. I am not sure what to do now.

Re: Briz Family Formula toy Build!!!!!
I would see if the old pcm set off a code if possible. maybe he can find out what shorted out the pcm before putting another one in it. or he could just keep changing them and following the smoke signals.

Re: Briz Family Formula toy Build!!!!!
IT IS ALIVE AND RUNNING GREAT!!!!! Pete came over this afternoon to trouble shoot the problem. We opened up the computer to check the damage. We found some burn marks on 1 of the resistors. Pete tested the resistor and found it to be ok then we followed the circuit board to which prong on the computer shorted out. Located it on the print and found we had the engine check light going straight to the starter relay. OOHPS. Cut the wire double checked everything and started her right up with no hesitation. It idled very high and was leaking fuel from 1 of the fittings. The throttle cable was way to tight and I had put a wrong hose clamp on the high pressure line. We then took her out for a test drive. It runs great and feels way lighter than the lead 4runner. I have a small coolant leak from the water temp probe but I should beable to fix it farly easy. Now I just need to finish up the wiring and double check everything but its ready for fun. Thanks to Pete for all of your help buddy. I couldn't have done it with out you.
