If there are no external leaks and you're sure it's properly bled...I would have to say replace the MC.

Re: 3.0 killer
Yeah, but if he has a 1/2 ton master, then it won't work well. i had the same problem.. The pistons in the calipers and the wheel cylinders are bigger and the 1/2 and 3/4 ton M/C can't produce enough volume and pressure. Gotta go 1 ton M/C..

That is a 1/2 ton M/C.. You will need to get the same era as that master, but in a 1 ton 4x4 non hydro boost.. I think it is the jb7 system ( the 1 ton M/C is shorter and wider with an oval lid) .. Suks trying to stop 8k lbs with 1/2 ton master and 1 ton GM brakes..

Re: 3.0 killer
Totally true! Also gotta make sure those rear shoes are are adjusted properly too. Otherwise, they travel too far before they hit the drum and take up pedal travel.cdgvw1 wrote:Yeah, but if he has a 1/2 ton master, then it won't work well. i had the same problem.. Re: 3.0 killer
thanks guys.
Got a pic or something for me Chris? I think I'm going to head to PnP and see if I can find a master in decent shape in the morning. Have to head over to that side of town anyway.
fordh8r. Got that dialed in already.

Re: 3.0 killer
Personally, I would prefer to see you buy this particular item as new since it is your brakes we're talking about. I realize money maybe an issue but I would rather see you save money on some other part of the build. I'm sure you understand. Just my .02Blackdog wrote:

Re: 3.0 killer
scroll to the last pic in the first post. You will need to reverse your brakelines coming out of the M/C also.

Yup. I just checked some prices, I thought they would be significantly more expensive. I'd probably wind up paying about the same price at PnP!!
New it is!!
