Did Amanda trade in the Nissan?? What's with the LR?
ya we traded in the nissan 2 weeks ago. She found the land rover with only 11k miles on it down in San Jose so we went down and picked it up. We got 2.9% on it so that was cool. It is my first "luxury" car and it is pretty awesome. i think i have only driven it twice since we bought it, she always wants to drive now

ya the shocks are so long that the coils would get caught when it was fully flexed and then collapsed. the tender/helper coils will keep pressure on the coils when it stretches out.
my sway bar showed up today, so i will get that in this weekend. Anybody got any tips on mounting sway bars?
ya matt i like having lots of lights

Re: my buggy and tacoma
Oh yeah, now I remember you and Lance talking about that a few posts back. Good deal..
Nice Rova..
Here is a post on Pirate I happen to read a while back. There is an explanation about where it should be mounted as per his run-in with Currie. Don't know otherwise.

ya i made some removable ones with some 24x36" semi mud flaps. they look stupid because they have to extend out over a foot past the end of the truck, but it keeps the cops off me when i drive it

Re: my buggy and tacoma
you probably weren't, i think the dude didn't know what he had in the axle. the u joints are spicers and the stubs are spicers neck down series. The yukon i put in was way befier than whats in there. I am ordering full yukon 4340 front axle shafts either today or tomorrowghettowheeler wrote:Oh crap I guess I was wrong!

Re: my buggy and tacoma
no sticking the tender coils did what they were supposed to. since i lowered it, it does have some rub in the front. Its not bad though. The sway definately made an improvement, sidehills didn't feel bad at allBIG BLING wrote:did the coils stick?

Re: my buggy and tacoma
got my new shafts put in today, unfortunately the superjoints are on backorder . the shafts that were in it were spicers, not chromoly. also made a spot for my ice chest. tomorrow i'm gonna get a storage rack for above the tank, and install my pwr steering cooler. that should be all i have to do before the roundup. If it works out i will be trading for a set of 37" mtr's this week.
i finally got all the smog taken care of and now i have current tags. I had to go to the smog shop 3 different times. First i didn't have the carb # for the intake, and throttle body. So i took the spacer out and got the numbers for the intake. Took it back and it failed because it had no memory on the computer since i unhooked it to weld. so i had to run it for 60-80 miles at freeway speeds to reset it. I took the wheels off and ran it on jack stands while i did other stuff.

ya it was pretty stupid that i had to run it. I didn't feel comfortable running it that far on the freeway, and i wasn't gonna pay a shop to do the same thing i did.
niagra is fun, the trail is not very long. It is the closest thing for me now that the creek at frank raines is closed. You can run it and then play at the rock pile and lions butt. Last time we played at the pile i broke. we fixed it then ran the trail in reverse to the top
