Right on dude! I'm excited to see how it turns out. Are you running spacers? (Sorry, I haven't been able to catch up on your thread - I'm supposed to be working )

Re: Project CJ 1 Ton
Oh I see how it is, your short butt Jeep wheelbase just wasnt good enough so you gotta match it with my 4runner's 107" huh?!
Haha just kidding buddy. Nice work. I like how this thing is coming along. 42s are going to look bitchin on that little green jeep of yours. How long have you had a trailer? This thing is no longer a pavement pounder? dirt and rocks only?
I can't remember if I told you Justin but I got a new job for a company called Miwall Corp and because of school I pretty much have to work weekends. This weekend I am down in Vallejo and the next I am going to Phoenix AZ but I am hoping to get at least a single damn weekend off here. The 4runner is tits and ready to wheel....just gotta find some time
Also, I am 100% going to the Marlin Crawler round up this year. You guys should come along, its sept 12-14th if I remember correctly. Also planning on July 4th at the Con. Just giving you some dates to ponder, if not July 4th MCR for SURE.
Anyways looking slick

Re: Project CJ 1 Ton
Sorry I just got back from being back east for almost 2 weeks. The wheels and tires where about 2 weeks out when I left. The tires came in but still waiting on the rims. Once they all come in them the cutting starts.

Re: Project CJ 1 Ton
So it started today!!! With just the rear stretched it is at 107" and probably not going any lower unless I take out the body lift. My friend is going to re-do the front and stretch that a few inches after Memorial Day.
A rack will be built on the back with a cooler and hi-lift mount.

Re: Project CJ 1 Ton
Ok so it is done until after memorial day weekend. It sits on 42 Iroks with 17" beadlocks, 107" wheelbase, F150 rear springs, a new winch, a cooler rack, truck avenger carb and performer intake manifold.
All work has been done at Sillyfab Service by Phil. He does a hell of a job!!
I am going to have the front pushed out another 4 inches, do some front tube work, a rear stinger, link the front with coils and hydro assist steering.

Re: Project CJ 1 Ton
I stopped by Phil's shop today to see the front end chopped off!!!
The checklist is as follows (in no particular order):
* Full PSC single ended hydro steer
* 4 link front with wild horse 3.5 coils
* Push front out another 2 inches
* Tube out the front half of the frame to include new engine mounts, tranny mounts and cradle
* New winch mount and front bumper with stinger
* Slant the hood/nose
* Wrap bar for the rear
* Add on to the cage in the rear to include a rear stinger/bumper
* Propane kit - I still need to locate a tank...ANYONE?
* New wire harness; re-wire the entire truck!
* New gauges
* New switch panel
* New steering wheel
* Grind down the frame smooth
* Replace the twisted rear leafs
* Possibly tube fenders
Phil does kick butt work and I will be at his shop every chance I get helping and working on it to get it done for Labor Day. Whatever does not get done before Labor Day will get done right after. I will be going to Fordyce if anyone wants to join. We will be camping before the trail gets to where you need to put it into 4 wheel drive which will allow a lot of people that do not have capable rigs to come and party with us!
