Briz Family Formula toy Build!!!!!

Well we have been beating on the old 4runner for a while now. It needed a roll cage so we decided to remove the body and build a buggy. Just the same amount of work right? Haha!
I hope to set this rig up for rocks and haulin ass across the desert.

Build Specs:
formula four toyota chassis (seats 4 adults)
82-83 toyota long bed frame
22re motor
dual tcases with 4.7 gear set in rear case
flatbelly x-member
toyota front axle,5.29's, 30 spline longfield axles,ARB locker
toyota rear axle,5.29's, ARB locker
37" MTR's or 40's?
modified stock yota rear springs up front
marlin or TG rear springs
Corbeua Baja ss suspenion seats up front
bench with headrest in rear
Fuel cell


The boys came over and helped me gut the 4runner and pull the body off. Thanks to Dad, Gramps, Matt, RJ, and Pete. Took the body and all the extra junk to the dump. 900lbs. Thats where all my body roll was HA.

I picked up a 82/83 long bed frame from craigslist for $100.00. Thanks Matt and RJ for the help.
Sunday I hope to get the new frame all cleaned up/cut off old brackets and grind smooth. Pull motor from the old frame and make new motor mount brackets and move the motor back 8" and down an 1".

I can cut the harness if ya want.....

That is exactly how I feel about the harness!

Do you have a wiring diagram for the harness? I would be willing to help, shouldn't be that difficult with some time and labels.

Yup. 15 man hours later got all the old brackets cut off and ground down. Sprayed some jasco on the frame. All clean and shiny now. Thanks RJ, gramps, and pete for all your help.

I am glad all of the grinding is done. That kicked are ass!!!

that was hands down the absolute LOUDEST grinding fest ever.

2) 7's and 1) 4.5 going non stop for 5 hours.
