Seems like a lot of members of this board are buying homes so I thought this would be the best place to post my home.

This is the driveway.

Well, we have changed our minds about buying a new home in this area. Going over the disclosers I found the flood discloser. It reads that we must do any research on our own. I found that the levees in Lathrop are not certified just yet. FEMA gave them 2 yrs to build up the levees & that 2 yrs is in Aug 2009 right when the home would be finished. If FEMA says that the levees aren't good enough, then everyone in that area will have to get flood insurance at an added cost of $1800 per yr. The home is going to be built about 100-150 yrds from the levee. For those that don't know, the area just South of Lathrop flooded when a levee broke in 1997. My families saftey is more important than a new home so we are going to pass.

Aw shucks... I'm glad you figured that out before you bought. I'm sorry it didn't work out.
