most people that run scalers waterproof their rigs. its actually pretty easy to do that. you just need to waterproof the esc and reciever. alot of people put them in little tupperware containers or stick them inside ballons. The xl-5 esc is also a waterproof esc. I think i will just stick with a handful of 15 cent goldfish from wallmart for my pond.
