Re: 77 K5
Nice.. yeah, I don't wash it anymore. I guess I should..
I am trying to be ready.. I got my centerlink swapped out today. Now it is just that damn pressure hose. It is going to cost 80 buks that I don't have..

Re: 77 K5
I was able to install the pressure valve from the later model metric o-ring hose set-up into my existing P/S pump. So I was also able to install a stock 83 K5 metric o-ring pressure hose also.. So that fixed my hose issue. I drilled the passage in the pressure valve according to redneck rams tech page. http://westtexasoffroad.homestead.com/powersteering.html
I installed the PSC box with ported top plate and end cap. Went to install the draglink and it was 5 inches too long. So I chopped off the end, cut out the threaded bung, re-inserted it into the tube and welded away. turned out good but i rolled a few threads (was till too hot when I tried to install the TRE) so I am on the hunt for a cheap 7/8-18 tap to clean up the threads.. DOH! I'll get some pics up later today or tomorrow.

Re: 77 K5
ha ha, well, no pics yet, but i did finish the drag link. I ended up having to cut the threaded insert I welded on and replace it. I guess I welded it too hot and distorded it. well, now I can make my final adjustments and weld the ram assist tabs on tonight and paint it up all purdy again.. I'll get some pics up later today..

Re: 77 K5
I finished installing the ram and pressure lines. Now I have to add the cooler, return lines and fluid.. Now I have to build a new engine cross member to clear the draglink.. Does it ever end?? Here are some pics..

Re: 77 K5
Took the blazer out to PC for its first run on the Hydro assist and High steer install. Worked good. I need to figure out how to get a little more from the pump now, but I was actually ably to steer on the rocks now..

Re: 77 K5
I am about half way through the doubler install. I have the range box assembled, the 205 is back from the machinist. He cut the input bearing hole bigger to accept the 32 spline input and bearing. now I am building the tripple stick shifters from scratch. Here is how it starts.
The 205 is back together again..
