Re: 3.0 killer
On the front 60, that is a dually front so you won't need to recenter the H1's.. Just get spacers for the rear.. there use to be a company that made rear spacer kits to convert reg rear axles to dually axles..
Also, Is that a 1/2 ton M/C?? If so and you plan to drive this on the street also, you will want to get the 1 ton non hydroboost M/C. I had to because the 1/2 ton master couldn't produce the volume to push the 1 ton front calipers good enough.

Re: 3.0 killer
I'm actually going to get some SRW hubs for the 60. I want to be wide, but I don't think I want to be that wide
Bought the M/C from a guy on marlin, he said it was a 1 ton MC. I'm honestly not positive that it is, but it is supposed to be. Got it for a really good deal, so I'm not too worried about it.

Re: 3.0 killer
I think it will be about the same if you don't recenter the wheels and use the dually outers.. Not sure though. I know the H1's are 7 inches of back space.
I had pucker factor when i needed to stop hard with my 1/2 ton M/C and 1 ton brakes..
Looks like it's workin out.. Now you can use that spool you got from Rob for the front..

Re: 3.0 killer
Could use a hand here. I've got some diagrams, but they're not exactly clear on this. The brakes were in real bad shape, some of the springs and such were rusted and broken or just flat out missing. Can someone give me a tip on how these brakes look, and what to do with the rest of the pieces? I haven't done much with domestic drum brakes before.
Thanks!
We'll see how the brakes turn out. If I need to change them, I will. Using the spool is the plan :yesnod:

Re: 3.0 killer
well i think the purple spring goes shoe to shoe over the star wheel
looks like your missing the self adj. hardware
there should be a cable guide under the dbl grn spring where it hooks to the shoe
and the blue spring hooks from the adjuster to the opposite shoe
the horseshoes lock the self adj. hardware to the pins
and i would smear a little grease anywhere there is metal to metal contact
especially shoes to backing plate

Re: 3.0 killer
Got the parts I needed at PnP.
Truck is back on 4 wheels. Gonna weld the rear end and finish up the gears on Tuesday, then all that is left in the rear is brake lines.
Hopefully going to weld the hanger on Tuesday as well.
Tire the truck's been sitting on for 6 mos.
Had a buddy helping me out today

Re: 3.0 killer
clean garage (for now)
New toy. Got the welder, and a 50 ft extension cord off craigslist the other day.
Gotta cut the hanger down, cutting the top section of box tubing off
Finally welded in my tunnel cap (been sitting on top of the carpet, sheetmetal screwed down) and sealed it with roofing sealer
Kingpin and all associated parts look good
Doing a little cleanup before rebuild.
Max wondering why I'm dirtying up his room

Re: 3.0 killer
Got the other side stripped down, and the housing cleaned up
Gotta love the 2 steering stabilizers
Quality stablizer mount
This side is a tad dirtier than the other
Got my hanger cut down
Also ordered my front gears, driveshaft flange, and steering arms.
