A LOOK TO THE FUTURE...
In 1998, over 3,000 acres located west of the current riding area, were purchased by the state for inclusion into Carnegie SVRA. This proposal, known as the Alameda-Tesla Expansion Project, will provide increased OHV recreational opportunities at Carnegie SVRA, including an extensive multiple use (i.e., motorcycles, ATVs, 4x4 vehicles, sports utility vehicles) trail system, a 4x4 vehicle obstacle course, a day-use staging area, and interpretive and informational facilities. The proposed project may also provide non-OHV recreational opportunities like mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking, provided there is no conflict between them and OHV users.
Currently in the planning phase, this project has received considerable input from OHV user groups, adjacent landowners and a variety of regulatory agencies. Because the newly acquired property contains sensitive cultural and natural resources, it is imperative that OHVers adhere to the "trail riding only" requirement once the area is opened. With the continued support of OHV enthusiasts, this acquisition, which represents a significant addition to Carnegie SVRA and to the statewide SVRA system, will ensure that riding opportunities are available for years to come!

Carnegie is ok for local wheeling, but not even close to Hollister, the OHV area is about 1/4 square mile right now.BIG BLING wrote:i have never been there is it better than hollister?

Yeah, somebody is bound to hit it. I already saw someone go off the concrete and in to the dirt next to the fence when it was dry!FFC wrote:That's awsome, but kinda dumb to put the fence right there

That looks like a sick place! Mapquest says 1 hour and 43 minutes from my house. I think Greenhorn is falling through for the weekend, so maybe I will venture out there.
