hey I remember that is was basicly a plywood deck that made the top of the bed flat and the plywood make to fit like a camper shell with camps and stuff. but if your going down the rubiocon you got to taken that massive plywood with you. lots of weight I think. already got tomuch gear.
then wakein up in the moring you better rember your 6ft off the ground hungover and or in middle of night have to take a piss outside your tent.

Sorry Jason, I haven't been here in a while but yeah, that was me.
I used 2 pieces of 1/2 (24"X6' each) plywood backed with a thin walled 3/4" X 1 1/2" rectangular tubing. I then set them side by side across the bed and set up my tent on top of them. Of course, you're a little taller than me ... .....so you may want a longer panel for a longer tent.
Looked something like this...

That's Matt
Great idea - but we might as well just set it up ON THE BED of the truck (flatbed) with a little step/ladder up the side of the bed....

I guess I had just read Jason's thread when I replied...
Well,...in that case the same size stuff I used might just be ok then.
Yeah, you have a flatbed that may work nicely.
