Year, Make, and Model please...

So, EVERY car I have ever built I have never been able to provide the counter guy with " year, make, and model" as it's always been

a 55 chevy with a 85 454 yadda yadda
a 30 coupe with a 53 red ram and a 727 yadda yadda
a 29 sedan with a 78 blown 350 yadda yadda
a 83 boat with GM 4 cyl

In general it's ALWAYS been a MAJOR pain in the butt at the auto parts store.

Well, as those that have been following my 45 dodge threads know I recently bought a 1945 dodge PU 100% original.

Now I just laugh when I go to the parts house when they say "year, make, and model" I just reply with ... 45 Dodge, PU, inline flathead 6..... And then I get the blank stare.. You know, the one that says " I need to actually look in a book" look.. Bahahahahah

Kragen and Autozone are clueless but NAPA ( Riebes ) is the SHIAT..

Master Cyl... "Year, make, and Model",, On the Shelf
Fuel pump... "Year, make, and Model",, On the shelf
Points... "year, Make and Model",, On the shelf


I just laugh... For the first time I don't have to say " It's in a boat or a sand rail, or whatever...

Now they just hate me because I make them go to the binders instead of the computer....

yea that is cool beening a counter man I know what you mean. ahhahhaaa

at least you know what your working on... most of my customers start out with I need a starter for a honda..... a honda what ????? um not sure what year mabye a 89 or 98 or something like that arnt they all the same. hahahaha

Hate going into parts stores that do that. Of course, there are some good counter guys that can figure crap out for themselves, or realize its not necessary info, so they just throw whatever info in ex. (CV axle for my truck).
