Families new Toy
Wow, the wife wanted one and we have looked at them for the past few years. But with the prices I couldn't buy one. We pick it up on Thursday night before our trip to Dillon's Beach.
I see a lot of trips to Fordyce on the horizon. With Cisco groove campgrounds right there.

That was the most important part. The rig does fit with 42's.... But I am buying some used stock mustang tires and put them on to make it easier to get it in.
Tin Benders is ON... Moab is ON.... Moonrocks and Fordyce will be the trails that I will be hitting mostly with easy access for everything.
We pick it up on Thursday night, right before our trip to Dillon's beach.

dooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddddddeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got to ride in it this weekend and go camping with them this weekend. That is probably one of the sickest toy haulers that I have seen. I am sold on one. But my pocket book wont let me have one ha ha. Lance thanks bro for letting the women use the bathroom and the outdoor shower was off the hook. I cant wait to see the pics of the rig inside. Thanks again to your family lance

The rear door swings down as a ramp. It is rated to 3500 lbs. Max load in the trailer is 5700 lbs.
I will be towing it completely empty up the mountain to make it a little easier. Also, I will be adding air bags to the back of the diesel and an intake/exhaust to help the performance. I already have the edge with attitude, but would like to add propane injection as well sometime in the future.

Re: Families new Toy
run water/meth instead
pane is another fuel it raises the egt's
im runnin w/m 75%water 25% meth and my egt stay under control
and about 50hp 120tq increase
its also way cheaper water=free
meth is about 30$ for 5 gal
i paid 450$ for the kit from imler

Thanks, I haven't done that much research on methane. Only know a few guys that run propane and they were happy with it.

Re: Families new Toy
a stock D-max trans will not hold up to hauling that much weight, with the egde above 2 and any other mods like pane or meth / water.
Pane, meth / water are cheap, but an allison trans is not. I would send the trans in for a complete upgrade before hopping up anymore.... Trans beef is going to run you 1500 + EASY..... JMO
Besides, you already pull away from everyone you currently run with sooooooooo... I say leave it.

Good point.
I think intake and exhaust is where I am going to leave it for the time being.

My rig is 87" wide at the tires. I will take pictures in two weeks when I head up to Fordyce.
