My 1985 Toyota 4Runner
Hey guys and gals, this is my 1985 Toyota 4runner. Here are some specs...
1985 4Runner SR5
Engine/Tranny:
Fuel Injected, DOA Racing built 22RE
Downey Headers
Flowmaster muffler
Optima Red Top
K&N air filter
W56 tranny
Transfercases:
Dual transfer cases with Marlin Crawler adapter and 4.7 case gears in the rear transfer case
Bud built skid plate
custom drive lines
Axles:
Stock 85 toy front, 5.29 R&P (open)
land cruiser vented rotors, third gen calipers and master cylinder
1989 v6 rear axle, 5.29 R&P (soon to be aussie locked or spooled)
Pro Comp braided steel brake lines
Suspension:
2" 4x4 Labs drop box moved 1.5" forward
44044 Jeep waggy springs w/ 6" shackles
Rear 63" chevy springs (w/ add a leaf), dual shackle (stock chevy w/ 6" toy shackle) 2" extended shackle bumpstops
Bilstein 5125s all around, 12s up front 14s out back
Ford shock towers up front, custom rear shock mount
full front frame plates
Marlin Crawler high steer
Armor:
Custom front winch bumper with old school warn winch
Rear Marlin Crawler DOM bumper
Marlin Crawler sliders
Rubber:
35x12.50 Cooper Discoverers on 15x10 rock crawlers
Im sure I am forgetting some stuff but that is more or less it. I need a locker, open diffs sucks. going to lift my rear end a little more with a shackle drop hanger but otherwise I am really happy with how my truck turned out. It took me about 4 years from start to finish to get the thing "done" but here it is. I also just trimmed the fenders so I can run a set of 37 MTRs for my next set of tires.

Re: My 1985 Toyota 4Runner
This is my 4runner when I first bought it. It had a 2" NWOR lift and some custom bumpers with 32s and a single case with 4.0 case gears. I drove it like this for about a year but that was all it took for me to realize, I NEED MORE RUBBER!!!

Thanks oldjellercj! Yup that is the original paint job. The PO was an cranky old man and he kept it in a storage unit and only took it out to go camping during the summer.

Thanks Justin. To be honest I dont know. I have finals next week then I get a week or two off. I am working this next weekend and I know I am flying somewhere in the next 3 weeks. The next weekend I have off I want to hit PC though, especially with the weather lately. I havnt gone wheeling in a long time, so I really want to get out at least once. that is the problem with going to school during the week, I gotta work during the weekends :(
