Color?
Re: DECALS
If I was going to use that design I would put an X in the middle of the wrench.

Re: DECALS
How about instead ofa skull and crossbones we use a monkey skull and cross wrenches. The monkey skull could be wearing a hat like the one in the forum logo.

Thats a good idea, do you have a picture of an example of a monkey face?

Re: DECALS
I love the idea of the wrench with the 4's in the ends and the x in the middle, grease on top and Monkey on the bottom. But for the X... we use Pistons.... I'll do up an example tomorrow

Even better!! I like that! We just need to be careful because the more detail that you add to the logo/sticker the bigger the decal will have to be in order to see the details.

Great point. Now, do we want to wait on MAKING the decals until we have the .com? We haven't purchased the website yet cuz $$ isn't workin out right now. Do we want to put .com on it? If we're going to start advertising with decals, we want people to be able to find it... Just a thought. We can design the decals and wait till the site is paid for before we order decals...

Re: DECALS
Without the ".com" it would look more like a club decal. If the ".com" becomes an issue there's always permanent marker...FFC wrote:just2much19 wrote:FFC wrote:I love the idea of the wrench with the 4's in the ends and the x in the middle, grease on top and Monkey on the bottom. Re: DECALS
True, but even if we did use the decals, people may be curious and try to look us up... and if you google Greasemonkey4x4 right now, you won't find anything on it

Re: DECALS
I actually like the drawing but would like to see the teeth emphasized like the actual skull. Maybe even slighlty alter the eye sockets for a more diabolical look and maybe even a n eye patch would be cool.

Re: DECALS
Terrible freehanding in Paint, but here's what I roughed up... the X being pistons of course

Re: DECALS
I kinda like this idea too.. the X'd pistons BEHIND the GreaseMonkey.... shorter wrench of course, where the word just fits?

Re: DECALS
I liked the first wrench sketch. The other thing to concider is the .com has to go somewhere on it and even though we dont have one yet we should plan for the logo to have it so it looks good with it not like it was added after the fact

Re: DECALS
I don't think that we need the .com on the decal.. we can design it for hats and shirts, and additional logos. But I think our original decal doesn't need a .com.
And which first sketch?

Re: DECALS
Okay, I've combined just about everything into this. This is my favorite. It would obviously be toned up and done right (the decal company will make it look a lot better). I have sent this to my hook up... to see what he can come up with.
