Re: 22R DRY OIL FILTER????

I've always done it to anything I've done an oil change on. Makes sense to me, I'unno.

Re: 22R DRY OIL FILTER????
you can't really do that on an R-Series, because the filter sits vertical/slightly down hill towards the open end. I have never primed an oil filter on an R-Series. You could have had a plugged filter, and it was constantly bypassing, or a filter with no valve in it, or yada yada yada. new oil new filter (not a Fram) and check it after a few miles. If you didn't have any oil flow, your engine would be toast by now, methinks.
how many miles have you put on it?

Re: 22R DRY OIL FILTER????
how about disconnecting the coil and crank it over till oil comes out?
no oil after 10-20 seconds = big problems or just a new oil pump
