i got hit

some chick merged into the side of my truck yesterday. took it to the shop today to have it appraised. they are gonna repaint the whole passenger side from the front fender back, new running board, new rear rim, new rear bumper, and most likely a new rear axle(something is bent, but the won't now for sure yet till they tear it apart). Sucky thing is that modesto police don't determine fault so its her word against mine. so its up to the insurance to determine whos at fault. Luckily she hit my running boards so mainly she just burned the paint off my truck. The only big dents are in the rear quarter panel

ya i was so expecting her to get out and appologize, but she didn't. She gets out and says you hit me. I was like no you ran into my truck. I was in the left lane and had no reason to go to the right lane because it ends. She also works at the school that was 200 yards up on the left, was late getting back and was texting. she was only concerned that she was late getting back to work. The lady i talked to at the insurance this morning said it sounds like i am not at fault, but it hasn't been finalized yet. The estimate to have have my truck fixed is 3200 without any suspension work, so i think the total will be over 5 grand
