I did it! But I did it in the crock pot.. here's my "done" play by play LOL!
I made a pot roast on Monday - my first one ever! And I did it in the crock pot. It didn't smell too yummy, but it sure tasted yummy!!!!
I braised it in red wine and put it on a bed of onions, tatoes and carrots with about 2 cups of wine and a cup of water. Put it on high in the crock pot for about 8 hours and it turned out perfect. I tied it to keep it together - good idea btw.
Here it is after braising/before starting it - the stuff on top is finely chopped carrots/onions:
Done yumness - it just fell apart when I took it out:
The veggies:
Gravy in the works - the juices from the crock pot:
Gravy done - a bit lumpy lol.
