Kart Build

Scored this project at a local swapmeet for 40.00. It's everything you would expect from a used 40.00 go kart

Not as vintage as we wanted, but that stuff is CRAZY money. This is for my 6 year old son(hes gonna have to sell alot of legos for parts)

So far we are thinking about the following
- older 3.5 briggs straight piped, non recoil starter with an oilbath would be ideal
- white wall tires (if we can find them )
- gold flaked frame
- gold flaked steering wheel or black butterfly (not sure yet)

Found the briggs manual on E-bay that I gre up wrenching with and bought one for my son.

After a little studying, we tackled a minor tune up. No electrnic uograde here. Points all the way

OK, so we are still a ways off from our target concet vehicle, but we just had to ride. The frame was REALLY tweaked so it needed some straighten'. I went a bit over board on the throttle peddle with dual stops and springs !!. I can remember when I was kid, I would always be broken down because of torn throttle cables due to no stops.
