Busted Detroit True Trac

I'm running stock Birfs with 33's. This was a Detroit True-Trac with Yukon 4.88 gears (front axle). I'm still using the gears. They are chipped, but they are doing well.

Is true trac a limited slip? thats some perty carnage there!!

Yeah. I like them though. Didn't know it was ever there, until I needed it. I miss it. I'll get another when I get my motor done.

Not for Toyota. Chevy used the Detroit "No Spin" as an option in the 60's and early 70's.

This was the spot where I broke the Detroit. I had to come out of there in 2-wheel drive.
