The Eldorado National Forest is set to release of their Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Record of Decision (ROD) for the Travel Management Plan on April 2, 2008. This will be the Eldorado National Forest's final decision for motorized routes in the forest. This release will trigger a 45 day appeal process. If you have previously participated in the planning process and submitted comments you have a right to appeal any part of the plan. If you haven’t participated prior to this please send your comments to CA4WDC@cal4wheel.com .

There will be three public, open house type, meetings following the release of the FEIS and ROD:

Saturday, April 5, 2008 in the Placerville area, probably at the fairgrounds
Wednesday or Thursday, April 9 or 10 in the South Lake Tahoe area
Saturday, April 12 in the Bay Area, probably Concord or Pleasanton

The above information on meetings is tentative, please confirm by going to the Eldorado National Forest Website at: http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/eldorado/projects/route/index.shtml
